30-Day Filings
April 3, 2013 On or about April 3, 2013, Northern Indiana Public Service Company (“NIPSCO”) will submit to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission for approval under its 30-Day Filing procedures, 170 IAC 1-6-1, et seq. a revised Rider 675 – Interruptible Industrial Service Rider. The referenced filing will consist of NIPSCO’s proposed revisions to modify Rider 675, which was approved by the Commission on December 21, 2011 in Cause No. 43969. The revisions impact Customers participating in Rider 675 that are receiving electric service under Rates 632, 633 or 634 of NIPSCO’s IURC Electric Service Tariff, Original Volume No. 12. A decision on the 30-Day Filing is anticipated at least thirty days after the April 3, 2013 filing date. Any objection to the filing should be directed to (a) the Secretary of the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, PNC Center, 101 West Washington Street, Suite 1500 East, Indianapolis, IN 46204 or (b) the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor, PNC Center, 101 West Washington Street, Suite 1500 South, Indianapolis, IN 46204.

The referenced filing will consist of NIPSCO’s proposed revisions to update its energy and capacity rate schedule for purchases from cogeneration and small power production facilities. A decision on the 30-Day Filing is anticipated at least thirty days after the February 28, 2013 filing date. November 16 2012 On or about November 16, 2012, Northern Indiana Public Service Company (“NIPSCO”) will submit to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission for approval under its 30 -Day Filing procedures, 170 IAC 1-6-1, et seq. a revision to Experimental Rate 665, Renewable Feed-In Tariff. The referenced filing will consist of NIPSCO’s proposed amendment designed to reallocate 200 kW from the current small wind carve-out to the small solar carve-out portion of the capacity allocations under the Renewable Feed-In Tariff approved in Cause No. 43922. The revisions do not modify the purchase rates under or rates charged in direct association with the Renewable Feed-In Tariff. The revisions may potentially impact any Customer operating a small wind or solar Qualifying Renewable Energy Power Production Facility that may participate in NIPSCO’s approved Feed-In Tariff.
October 18 2012 On or about October 18, 2012, Northern Indiana Public Service Company (“NIPSCO”) will submit to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission for approval under its 30-Day Filing procedures, 170 IAC 1-6-1, et seq. a revised Rider 676 – Back-Up, Maintenance and Temporary Service Rider. The referenced filing will consist of NIPSCO’s proposed revisions to modify Rider 676, which was approved by the Commission on December 21, 2011 in Cause No. 43969. The revisions impact Customers participating in Rider 676 that are receiving electric service under Rates 632 or 633 of NIPSCO’s IURC Electric Service Tariff, Original Volume No. 12.
October 18 2012 On or about October 18, 2012, a Renewable Power Purchase Agreement ("PPA") between Northern Indiana Public Service Company and Douglas V. LeVander will be submitted to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission for approval under its 30 -Day Filing procedures, 170 IAC 1-6-1, et seq. and its July 13, 2011 Order in Cause No. 43922. If the PPA is approved, the only customer affected is Mr. LeVander, who will be eligible to terminate, without penalty, the PPA in the event he moves from the property and terminates NIPSCO electric service during the term of the PPA.

On or about August 27, 2012, a Renewable Power Purchase Agreement ("PPA") between Northern Indiana Public Service Company and Brent E. Martin will be submitted to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission for approval under its 30-Day Filing procedures, 170 IAC 1-6-1, det seq. and its July 13, 2011 Order in Cause No. 43922. The only customer affected is Mr. Martin, who will retain certain environmental attributes attributable to the operation of the methane capture and generation system if the PPA is approved.
August 6, 2012 On or about August 6, 2012, Northern Indiana Public Service Company ("NIPSCO") will submit to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission for approval under its 30-Day Filing procedures, 170 IAC 1-6-1, et seq. revised natural gas tariffs that were approved in Cause No. 44081 and other general administrative tariff revisions. These tariff revisions are administrative in nature and will have no material impact on customers receiving natural gas service under NIPSCO’s IURC Gas Service Tariff, Original Volume No. 7.
August 6, 2012 BTA On or about August 6, 2012, a Renewable Power Purchase Agreement ("PPA") between Northern Indiana Public Service Company and Bio Town Ag, Inc. ("BTA") will be submitted to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission for approval under its 30 -Day Filing procedures, 170 IAC 1-6-1, et seq. and its July 13, 2011 Order in Cause No. 43922. The only customer affected is BTA, who will retain certain environmental attributes attributable to the operation of its methane capture and generation system if the PPA is approved. The contract also includes language and details that illustrate how the pricing provisions should apply to BTA’s Renewable Power Purchase Agreement executed in 2011 addressing its Phase I operation and this Contract that adds provisions relating to its planned Phase II operation.
March 12, 2012 On or about March 12, 2012, Northern Indiana Public Service Company (“NIPSCO”) will submit to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission for approval under its 30-Day Filing procedures, 170 IAC 1-6-1, et seq. a revised Rule 14 – Limitations of Liability. The referenced filing will consist of NIPSCO’s proposed revisions to modify Rule 14, which was approved by the Commission on December 21, 2011 in Cause No. 43969.
February 28, 2012 - On or about February 28, 2012, Northern Indiana Public Service Company (“NIPSCO”) will submit to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission for approval under its 30-Day Filing procedures, 170 IAC 1-6-1, et seq. a revised Rider 678 – Purchases from Cogeneration and Small Power Production Facilities (“Cogen Rider”). The referenced filing will consist of NIPSCO’s proposed revisions to update its energy and capacity rate schedule for purchases from cogeneration and small power production facilities.
February 16, 2012 - On or about February 16, 2012, Northern Indiana Public Service Company (“NIPSCO”) will submit to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission for approval under its 30-Day Filing procedures, 170 IAC 1-6-1, et seq. a revised (1) Rule 6 – Service Extensions and Modifications (“Gas Extensions Rule”) and (2) Rule 3 – Character of Service (“Gas Service Rule”). The referenced filing will consist of NIPSCO’s proposed revisions to its (1) Gas Extensions Rule are intended to mirror its extensions rule applicable to its customers receiving electric service under its IURC Electric Service Tariff and (2) Gas Service Rule are intended to reflect the revisions to its Gas Extensions Rule. The revisions impact Residential and Non-Residential Customers requesting NIPSCO to provide facilities for rendering standard gas service under its IURC Gas Service Tariff, Original Volume No. 7.
January 16, 2012 - On or about January 16, 2012, Northern Indiana Public Service Company (“NIPSCO”) will submit to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission for approval under its 30-Day Filing procedures, 170 IAC 1-6-1, et seq. a revised Rule 10 – Deposit to Insure Payment of Bills (“Gas Deposit Rule”). The referenced filing will consist of NIPSCO’s proposed revisions intended to revise its Gas Deposit Rule to mirror its deposit rule applicable to its Non-Residential Customers receiving electric service under its IURC Electric Service Tariff, Original Volume No. 12.
January 16, 2012 - On or about January 16, 2012, Northern Indiana Public Service Company (“NIPSCO”) will submit to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission for approval under its 30-Day Filing procedures, 170 IAC 1-6-1, et seq. a revised Rider 684 – Credits for Direct Load Control Program. The referenced filing will consist of NIPSCO’s proposed amendment to modify Rider 684, which was originally approved by the Commission on July 27, 2011 in Cause No. 43912 and recently approved by the Commission on December 21, 2011 in Cause No. 43969. The revisions are shown in the attached redlined tariff sheet. The revisions impact any Customer taking service under Rates 611, 612, 613, 620, 621, 622, 623, 624, 625, 626, 632, 633, 634, 641, 644 and Rate Code 647 with central air conditioning have an electric motor driven compressor that participate in NIPSCO’s approved Direct Load Control Program.
November 21, 2011 - On or about November 21, 2011, Northern Indiana Public Service Company (“NIPSCO”) will submit to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission for approval under its 30 -Day Filing procedures, 170 IAC 1-6-1, et seq. a revised Renewable Feed-In Tariff and associated Renewable Power Purchase Agreement. The referenced filing will consist of NIPSCO’s proposed amendment to slightly modify its Renewable Feed-In Tariff and to revise the standard form of Power Purchase Agreement, both of which were approved in Cause No. 43922.
July 18 , 2011 - On or about July 18, 2011, a Renewable Power Purchase Agreement ("PPA") between Northern Indiana Public Service Company and Bio Town Ag, Inc. ("BTA") will be submitted to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission for approval under its 30 -Day Filing procedures, 170
IAC 1-6-1, et seq. and its July 13, 2011 Order in Cause No. 43922.
May 25, 2011 - Northern Indiana Public Service Company (“NIPSCO”) hereby provides notice of a filing that will be made on or after May 25, 2011 at the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (“Commission”) seeking to update the currently effective Gas Efficiency Factor. The Gas Efficiency Factor is assessed to residential gas customers served under Rate 411 and certain associated riders and appendices to Rate 411.
April 1, 2011 - NIPSCO hereby provides notice of a filing that will be made on or after February 25, 2011 at the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) seeking to update NIPSCO’s energy and capacity rate schedule for purchases from cogeneration and small power production facilities. Affected customers include qualifying facilities with contracts to sell electric energy and capacity to NIPSCO, may experience changes in rates as a result of the filing.

August 1, 2009 - Notice is hereby given that Northern Indiana Public Service Company ("NIPSCO") will submit a revised tariff to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission ("Commission") seeking approval of a decrease in the Efficiency Rider previously approved by the Commission in Cause No. 43051.
