Energy Efficiency Rebate Program - Equipment
Do I qualify?
Rebates are available for NIPSCO residential natural gas and/or electric customers, and the location of installed equipment must have active NIPSCO service. Installed equipment must meet the efficiency requirements listed in the table below.
- Current rebates are available for equipment installed between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2013. Rebate offers are subject to change - please check this webpage for updates. Rebate funds are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- The rebate application and invoice(s) must be postmarked within 60 days of installation. If you have any questions, please contact the Energy Efficiency Rebate Program at (800) 721-7385.

Rebates for Natural Gas Customers:

Natural Gas Furnace

• Customer must have both electric and natural gas service from NIPSCO to be eligible for the Furnace with ECM rebate.
• NIPSCO gas only customers are eligible for a $200 rebate for furnaces that include ECM motors.
• Furnace must be primary heat source for home’s living space and be a sealed combustion unit. • Dual-fuel systems (systems with both a furnace and a heat pump) are not eligible. | $250 per unit | List |

• Customer must be a NIPSCO Residential Natural Gas Customer on rate 411, 415 or 451.
• Chimney liners must be installed where an atmospherically-drafted appliance remains in the existing chimney after a sealed combustion unit has been installed. A sealed combustion unit must provide combustion air from outside the home. Installers must also complete the flue closure protocol when a sealed combustion unit has been installed.
