IN-Charge at Home

The IN-Charge at Home Program helps make it cost effective and convenient to charge your electric vehicle (EV) at home. By encouraging our customers to invest in EVs, we hope to help improve local air quality and help reduce reliance on foreign oil.

Please note: Due to popular demand, incentives for installing a home charging station are no longer available. Free overnight charging will continue to be available through January 2017.

Free Overnight Charging

If you own or are considering purchasing an EV, you may be eligible to receive free charging between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. daily through January 31, 2017.*

NIPSCO is working with South Shore Clean Cities to offer this pilot program across northern Indiana.

*Free overnight charging for participating customers ends on January 31, 2017. On August 5, 2016, we filed a proposal with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) to continue offering a reduced overnight charging rate to IN-Charge at Home Program participants. The proposed rate is about one-third lower than the general residential electric usage rate and would be in effect for overnight charging hours, only (10 p.m. to 6 a.m.). If approved by the IURC, the rate will go into effect on February 1, 2017 and run through December 31, 2018. The reduced rate will be available exclusively to current IN-Charge at Home Program participants.
