NWI Forum Reports Successful 2015

Highlights include:

  • Helping to attract over 980 jobs to the region in 2015
  • Responding to and developing over 50 business attraction or expansion leads in the region
  • Revamping its regional strategic plan
  • Increasing membership by six percent

According to NWI Forum President and CEO Heather Ennis, "2016 promises to be even more exciting. One month into the New Year, the Forum has hosted members of theIndiana General Assembly along with Lt. Gov. Sue Ellspermann at our reception in Indianapolis. We’ve bought together over 40 brokers, developers and site selectors to meet and hear Indiana Secretary of Commerce Victor Smith tout the great economic value of doing business in our state and we have advocated at the state house for policy change of the urban enterprise zones deadlines."

The NWI Forum has set its sights on a number of objectives for 2016 too, including stopping the migration of medical services to Chicago and continuing to ensure the region’s viability for new or expanding businesses through its collaborative efforts with its regional partners.
