It’s “Prime Time” for Warren County Site Certification

Wednesday, April 06, 2016

“Prime” is the highest level of certification in Indiana. The 80-acre business park, which is near both U.S. 41 and the Purdue University campus, is being targeted towards Ag bioscience firms. As a certified prime site, building approvals can be fast-tracked.

“We are targeting ag bioscience firms, seeing that as a great match for the site and our workforce,” said Warren County Economic Development Executive Director Steve Eberly. “It’s an ideal site, too, because of its proximity to Purdue University, where scientific and technological breakthroughs are happening, and startup companies often form.”

Certification requirements include (but aren’t limited to):

  • Utilities up to the property line
  • An environmental assessment
  • Proximity to a state highway
  • A geo-tech study
  • Local economic development organization involvement
