Familiar Faces in New Places

Friday, July 15, 2016

In this issue, the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership named Michael Galbraith as the director of the Road to One Million plan.

In this role, Galbraith will oversee the Road to One Million plan as well as support the Northeast Indiana Regional Development Authority. The RDA is responsible for the disbursement of the $42 million in funding granted to the region via the Regional Cities Initiative established last year. The Road to One Million was one of three winning bids and includes more than 70 projects to increase economic growth, lead to population growth and enhance the region’s national brand identity.

Gailbraith’s role will be to manage the Road to One Million project, serve as the primary point of contact for the RDA, direct regional collaboration with stakeholders, and manage contractors. Since 2006, Galbraith has worked with ARCH, Inc., Fort Wayne’s nonprofit historic architecture preservation group, and as executive director of that organization from 2011 until the present. “Michael brings a wealth of leadership in grant administration and community development, which will have an immediate positive impact on our efforts to attract businesses and talent to the region,” said John Sampson, president and CEO of the Northeast Regional Partnership.
