Fort Wayne Business Park Gains AEP Quality Site Certification

Friday, July 15, 2016

The 137-acre property, located near I-69 and Fort Wayne International Airport, hopes the certification will boost business attraction and economic development there. Current tenants include BAE Systems, Tuthill and Coca-Cola. To receive this certification, Indiana Michigan Power engaged McCallum Sweeney Consulting. According to this third-party, the Airport Business Center meets all shovel-ready requirements. Evaluations included examining engineering plans, environmental studies and site characteristic review.

“This certification will have a significant positive impact on our business attraction and expansion efforts,” said Greater Fort Wayne Inc. Executive Vice President of Economic Development John Urbahns. “When companies can come in and get up and running as quickly as possible, Fort Wayne and Allen County become that much more attractive as a potential site.”
