Holladay Beam Signing Celebrates Ontario Building Project

Friday, July 15, 2016

In late May, Holladay Properties and Holladay Construction Group’s South Bend offices hosted an event to celebrate the beginning of construction on the Ontario Building at the AmeriPlex at I-80/90 location, a 200-acre mixed-use development project near South Bend Regional Airport. The business park, which broke ground in 2006, will contain over 1 million square feet of space by the end of this year.

The Ontario Building is a 165,000 square foot multi-tenant flex/industrial facility. The building is expected to be complete by the end of this year.

“This new facility is coming at a time of accelerated growth and progress at the park,” said Holladay President and CEO John Phair during the event, referencing recent construction and expansions for park tenants including Hubbel/RACO, Chase Plastics and FedEx.

The event included a tour of the build site and all attendees were encouraged to sign a beam that was on display, an opportunity to leave their permanent mark on the building.

The Ontario building is partially pre-leased to a tenant, but there is still 90,00 square feet of space available in the facility. Newmark, Grubb, Cressy & Everett is in charge of leasing the remaining space.
