Along the US 30 Corridor

US Route 30 is a major transcontinental highway that runs east-west across the United States. The highway spans 3,073 miles. Much of the historic Lincoln Highway—the first roadway across the United States—became part of US 30 eventually. Connecting Astoria, Oregon to Atlantic City, New Jersey, US 30 is an important distribution route passing near cities and markets including Portland, OR; Pocatello, ID; Cheyenne, WY; Ames, IA; Joliet, IL; Merrillville, IN; Beaverdam, OH and Philadelphia, PA. In northern Indiana, US 30 passes through Lake, Porter, La Porte, Starke, Marshall, Kosciusko, Whitley and Allen counties on its way between Illinois and Ohio.
