Familiar Faces in New Places

In this issue, we welcome Isaac Lee to Steuben County EDC and Karen McCoy to the NIPSCO Public Affairs team, Sue Ellspermann joins the Conexus Indiana board of directors and Ken McCrory of the DeKalb County Economic Development Partnership announces his retirement.

Isaac Lee has been named executive director for the Steuben County Economic Development Corporation. Previous to this, Lee was with the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Ohio in the role of chief operating officer. Preceding Lee in Steuben County was David Koenig, who resigned in July.

Karen McCoy has joined NIPSCO as the south region public affairs manager. Previously, McCoy was the alliance and chamber operations manager for the Greater Kokomo Economic Development Alliance. McCoy will be based in the Kokomo office and will represent NIPSCO-served communities in a 10-county area including Benton, Carroll, Cass, Fulton, Howard, Jasper, Miami, Newton, Pulaski and White counties.

Indiana’s former lieutenant governor Sue Ellspermann, who now serves as president of Ivy Tech Community College, has been appointed to the board of directors for Conexus Indiana, the state’s advanced manufacturing and logistics initiative.

In DeKalb County, Ken McCrory, executive director of the DeKalb County Economic Development Partnership, will be retiring at the end of 2016 after six and a half years of service with that organization. The organization is currently searching for a new executive director.
