In this month’s issue, two new appointments and one retirement were announced.

As part of the county’s realignment of economic development efforts, Michael Seitz has been appointed economic development coordinator for La Porte County. This newly created position seeks to jump-start job creation and business investment by improving coordination across the county. Seitz retired as president last year from the Greater La Porte Chamber of Commerce after 15 years. “I believe economic development is all about cultivating partnerships and creating relationships – and that’s what we’re going to do,” said Seitz.

The Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership promoted Ryan Twiss to vice president of regional initiatives. Twiss has been with the Partnership since 2006, and will now be tasked with operational oversight, strategic development and community engagement efforts for the partnership’s regional initiatives. “Northeast Indiana is experiencing a tremendous period of growth and momentum. I am humbled to have a chance to be a part of building on our momentum,” said Twiss.
