2017 Going Strong for Carroll and Kosciusko Counties

Friday, June 16, 2017

In just the first five months of the year, Kosciusko County is celebrating 200 new manufacturing jobs added to its area. Two projects (investments by Shiloh Industries and Flexaust) saw direct assistance from the Kosciusko Economic Development Corporation (KEDCo), resulting in over 100 new jobs between the two of them.

Meanwhile in Carroll County, Executive Director Laura Walls reports “a significant surge of interest” in the territory this year. The Carroll County Economic Development Corporation recently released its “Close Up” report, reflecting on the many successes of 2016 including nearly $423 million in investments in new industries and industrial park expansions. That kind of activity brings in other businesses, and as a result Walls reports that local job numbers have been up and wages are also rising.
