Ready in Wabash: North Manchester Park Certified

Tuesday, July 18, 2017

The Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) has designated the North Manchester Industrial Park with its “Gold” level shovel-ready certification.

Located south of North Manchester’s downtown, the park features:

  • 106 acres
  • Rail line adjacent
  • One mile from State Road 13
  • Less than an hour from I-69

For more information about Wabash County’s available properties, visit: http://www.edgwc.com/sites-buildings/.

OCRA has three tiers of shovel-ready status, and the gold level is the highest of those tiers. According to OCRA, any level of designation means that the area is committed to economic growth and ready for economic development opportunities. To be designated at the gold level, a site must meet all the requirements of the previous levels as well as:

  • Be five miles or less from two-lane transportation
  • Be a minimum size of 20 acres
  • Have no environmental concerns
  • Have seismic data already collected and results available
  • Have soil borings already collected and results available
