Android Industries and Avancez

  • Two Michigan-based sister companies, both General Motors Co. suppliers, are expanding operations
  • Android Industries will increase capacity for headliners, radiator modules and consoles
  • Avancez is establishing a second nearby facility
  • Together the companies are investing $15 million
  • Creating over 300 jobs by the end of 2018

Grand Design RV

  • Recreational vehicle manufacturer expanding in Middlebury, IN with two new manufacturing facilities on its campus
  • Investing $10 million in the new facilities

Jayco Inc.

  • Recreational vehicle manufacturer creating a “mega-facility” at its Middlebury, IN campus
  • 237,000 sq. ft. facility will house two new lines producing Jay Flight travel trailers
  • Plans call for groundbreaking in late September
  • Creating 300 jobs

Thor Motor Coach

  • Elkhart-based RV manufacturer and subsidiary of Thor Industries expanding
  • Customer demand leads to expansions in three locations: Elkhart, Wakarusa and Bristol
  • Cumulatively adding 500,000 sq. ft.
  • Creating 400 new jobs
  • The Indiana plant currently employs approximately 115 workers

  • Creating up to 500 jobs by 2021

Dunes Event Center

  • New recreational center announced in La Porte, IN by the founder of the Dunes Volleyball Club
  • The $2.3 million facility will be 50,000 sq. ft. and will focus on youth and adult volleyball but will include batting cages, basketball courts, soccer fields and an event space
  • The new facility will be located in the NewPorte Landing development area
  • Construction is expected to begin fall 2017 and be completed by spring 2018
