Though we never like to hear about a company shutting down one of its locations, by reporting on closings we hope to give some insight to our audience about facilities that will likely be on the market soon:

In Steuben County, Arizona-based Carlisle Fluid Technologies has notified the state that it will be closing its plant in Angola. This closing will affect over 30 jobs, half of which are assemblers.

In St. Joseph County, New Jersey-based Ascensia Diabetes Care Inc. reports it will close its Mishawaka facility. This closing will affect 113 jobs with layoffs in rounds starting this December. The facility will not be fully closed until the end of September 2018.

In Elkhart County, Connecticut-based Harman International Industries Inc. has announced the first round of layoffs associated with its closing of its Crown Audio plant in Elkhart. This will involve 50 of the 115 employed at that location.
