Indiana Ranked in Forbes’ Top 10 States for Business

Indiana RankedForbes annual ranking of best states for business put Indiana back in the top 10, and ahead of any neighboring states.

Forbes uses 41 metrics in their rankings, distributed across six broader categories including business costs, labor supply, regulatory environment, economic climate, growth prospects and quality of life.

Coming in this year at 10th, Indiana moved up three spots from last year. A number of areas gave Indiana a boost, including the state’s AAA credit rating, low cost of living and favorable regulatory environment. In fact, Indiana was ranked 1st for regulatory environment, a category which considers labor regulations, right-to-work laws, tax incentives and transportation infrastructure, among other metrics.
