Familiar Faces in New Places

NIPSCO has named several people to new positions within the company. “Serving customers and safety go hand-in-hand, and the collective experience these leaders bring to their respective roles will help us create meaningful and lasting improvements in these core focus areas of our business,” said NIPSCO President Violet Sistovaris.

Dan DouglasDan Douglas has been named senior vice president of NIPSCO Gas. Most recently, Douglas served as vice president of corporate strategy and development.





Steve SylvesterSteve Sylvester has been named general manager and vice president of NIPSCO Gas. Most recently, Sylvester served as vice president of safety for NiSource, NIPSCO’s parent company.




James ZucalJim Zucal
, who joined NiSource in 2017, will take on the role of program management lead for the transition of NIPSCO’s electric generation portfolio.






Mark DobsonThe Economic Development Corporation of Elkhart County reports that President and CEO Mark Dobson has resigned. Dobson cited philosophical differences in staffing ideas as his reason for leaving. Dobson has led the EDC since late 2015, and he credits the team with “three straight years of development growth well over $100 million a year.”


Chris StagerChris Stager
will serve as interim president while a new director is found. Stager is the vice president of retention and expansion for the EDC.

Angela RoseThe Greater La Porte Economic Development Corporation announced Angela Rose has been hired as the city’s new downtown director. She replaces Thaddeus Cutler, who has worked in that position for the past five years. A La Porte native, Rose graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor’s in urban development and planning and a master’s in historic preservation and is now returning to the area after working in Oklahoma.
