New State Website Speaks Your Language

by | Mar 11, 2015
For a long time, Indiana has been "walking the walk" of being the state that works with a solid fiscal foundation and an undeniably strong business climate; the numbers have been speaking for themselves with record investment and growth.

But to ensure the state is “talking the talk” not just domestically but also around the world, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation recently launched a new website at www.InvestIndiana.com.

The site is available in English, Italian, German, French, Chinese and Japanese and includes a wealth of information for businesses and investors, including a map showing where international investors have put down roots as well as some impressive stats about the high level of foreign direct investment Indiana has seen in the last few years. Other information includes:

  • Information about Indiana’s workforce and business climate
  • Locations of foreign companies across the state
  • Facts about industries that are thriving in Indiana

“This website is a conversation starter,” said Indiana Secretary of Commerce Victor Smith. “Indiana and international businesses both speak the same language, and that’s a language of growth and opportunity. This website acts as an online resource, showing just how committed we are to helping international businesses meet their goals in Indiana, joining the hundreds of others currently dotting our state.”

In only a month of operation, the Japanese-language version has already seen an average of 3,600 weekly users. “Indiana’s story of business opportunity resonates whether you are in Indiana, Japan, Germany or anywhere else around the world,” said Smith. “Principles like fiscal responsibility and affordability are universal. And now that we’ve built [InvestIndiana.com], we’re busy telling the world.”
