NIPSCO may offer our Economic Development Rider (EDR) as an incentive on new incremental electric load to NIPSCO territory. We also have energy efficiency incentive programs for both electric and natural gas.
In order to be considered for an EDR, please contact us.
NIPSCO’s Economic Development Rider 677 (EDR)
The EDR is a discount off of the electric rate on new incremental electric load to NIPSCO’s electric territory. It applies to charges rendered under the applicable rate schedules to the qualified electric load. These discounts are applied to the base rates identified in the tariff (not to tracking factors, i.e. fuel cost adjustment, environmental factors, etc.).
EDR incentives are awarded using the guidelines listed in the tariff. NIPSCO shall have the final determination of all incentive offers.
Any EDR offer is contingent upon the granting of appropriate local and state incentives.

NIPSCO Energy Efficiency Incentive Programs
NIPSCO has energy incentive programs in place for our commercial and industrial (C&I) customers who have a qualifying electric or natural gas rate. These can be combined with the Economic Development Rider (EDR) to help incent an expansion in or location to NIPSCO territory.
