Teaching youth to save energy at home
The NIPSCO Energy Efficiency Education Program teaches 5th grade and high school students about electricity and natural gas, including how it works, where it comes from, ways to reduce energy usage and how to stay safe. Programs are tailored to the student’s specific age group.
Teachers are equipped with lesson plans and activities for home and school to promote energy awareness. Students receive Take Action Kits filled with energy saving products for their home. This program shows teachers, students and parents how everyday activities impact energy consumption and the environment.
