October 1 until December 31, 2024 (or until funds are exhausted), eligible NIPSCO business customers can earn various bonus incentives on their new Prescriptive projects.
Gas Bonus Incentives
- 20% bonus incentive* on space heating boiler tune-ups
Electric Bonus Incentives
- 20% bonus incentive* on new measures
- 40% bonus incentive* on new refrigeration measures
- Increased 4’ tube lighting incentive of $4, plus 20% bonus incentive
*Funds are only available for new projects submitted after October 1, 2024 and completed no later than December 31, 2024. Refrigeration measures are not eligible for the other 20% bonus.

Earn incentives for your energy-saving improvements
Agricultural, large commercial, governmental, industrial, institutional and non-profit customers can earn incentives for making electric and natural gas energy efficiency improvements.
This program rewards customers when they replace costly, less efficient systems with high efficiency equipment on a one-for-one basis. Projects can include lighting products, space heating systems and controls, steam trap repair, replacement and boiler burner controls. How to Apply
Step 1 - Application
Review the Prescriptive Measure list to ensure your project qualifies for incentives. After verifying eligibility, apply by downloading the Program Application (Excel-based).

Step 2 - Installation
Complete the equipment installation(s) and application, and gather the following required documentation:
- Product specifications of efficient equipment
- Project invoices
- Tax exempt letter (if applicable)
Then, send the completed application and supporting documentation to: NIPSCO.Savings@TRCcompanies.com.
Step 3 - Review
Applications are reviewed in the order that they are received. Complete applications are processed for review within three (3) business days of submission.
Step 4 - Delivery
Incentive checks typically arrive within 6-8 weeks.

Your project and energy-saving efforts deserve some recognition!
Project Eligibility
All projects must be completed by November 16, 2024 to be eligible for current 2024 incentives. Projects submitted after this date are subject to 2025 incentives and requirements. Applications must be submitted within 90 days of measure(s) installation.
If the project’s estimated incentive exceeds $10,000, it requires pre-approval before purchase and installation of efficient equipment. See our Custom Incentive Program for more details regarding the approval process.
Who qualifies?
Eligible NIPSCO customers include those currently billed under electric Rates 520, 521, 522, 523, 524, 525, 526, 531 Tier 1, 532, 533, 541, 543 or 544 and natural gas Rates 321, 325, and 351 (NIPSCO’s DependaBill rate).
Customers participating in the Midstream Channel by purchasing qualifying equipment from a participating dealer, are not eligible to participate in the Prescriptive/Custom Program or any other NIPSCO program for an incentive on the same piece of purchased equipment.
