Earn cash incentives for building high-efficiency homes
Home builders within NIPSCO's service territory can earn cash incentives for building homes that meet high energy-efficient standards through NIPSCO’s Residential New Construction Program. Incentives will be paid to the home builder on a per-home basis, and residential home builders can earn up to $1,050 per home!
New construction homes must meet minimum requirements for ENERGY STAR® 3.1 (Rev 13), Exhibit 1, zone 5 for heating, cooling and water equipment. ENERGY STAR® certification is not required. New construction homes must be rated by a Certified RESNET Home Energy Rater or Rating Field Inspector to qualify and be submitted through the NIPSCO Ekotrope site.
Beginning July 1, 2026, gas measures are no longer eligible for incentives. Electric Measure applications will continue to be accepted through November 30, 2026, provided all applicable minimum program requirements are met.
