If you’re a NIPSCO residential customer with a qualifying smart Wi-Fi thermostat connected to your central air conditioner, you may be eligible for the new NIPSCO Power Rewards Program.
Enroll your thermostat and receive a $50 Virtual Visa® Prepaid Card1.
As a thank you, NIPSCO will send you another $25 Virtual Visa® Prepaid Card1 at the end of each summer you actively participate in the program.
How Power Rewards works
During periods of high use energy use, you can allow your thermostat provider to adjust your thermostat slightly to help reduce strain on the grid.
- Adjustments are limited to a 4-degree increase or less that will last no more than four (4) hours, preceded by a possible pre-cooling period
- The summer season lasts from June 1 to September 30
- You always have the option to opt out of any event at any time using your thermostat, mobile app or web browser

What if I don’t own a smart thermostat?
No problem. Purchase a qualifying smart thermostat through the NIPSCO Home Online Marketplace or from your preferred retailer, apply for a Home Rebate, then come back to enroll in Power Rewards.
