Get connected

If you already own, or plan to purchase a solar, wind, hydro or biomass system, you may be eligible to participate in one of our programs. We offer three options to promote further renewable generation opportunities and respond to customers’ interest in powering their homes and businesses with renewable energy. Please note, availability is limited.

Green Power

Green Power is a voluntary program that allows you to designate a portion or all of your monthly electric usage to come from power generated by renewable energy sources, such as wind power.

Net Metering

This program will allow you to generate your own electricity from renewable energy to offset your usage each month. We install one meter capable of measuring energy you consume and energy you generate. If you generate more than what you need, you’ll receive energy credits that can be applied to future usage.

Feed-in Tariff

The Feed-in Tariff Program is very similar to the Net Metering Program. However, this option offers you a sell-back opportunity. You receive a check from us for the amount of electricity you generate from your renewable energy project.

Large or independent producer

Customers who want to connect generation to a transmission circuit, 69,000 volt or above, must utilize the interconnection process of the Midcontinent Independent Transmission System Operator (MISO) because our transmission system is under their functional control.
