Rebates for your home

Rebates for high efficiency heating and cooling equipment – including furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, smart Wi-Fi thermostats and other equipment – help you save energy and money.



$65 off a Smart Wi-Fi Thermostat

Must be Wi-Fi capable and connected to the internet for programming and adjusting remotely. Wi-Fi thermostats are limited to two (2) rebates per installation address every three (3) years. Wi-Fi thermostats purchased through NIPSCO’s Online Marketplace are not eligible for an EE Rebate. Get started with our qualified equipment list to see if your new product is eligible for this rebate. Once you know your product is eligible, submit an application below.

$200 off a Natural Gas Furnace ≥ 95% AFUE

If you install an air-source heat pump in conjunction with a furnace or boiler, you will receive a rebate for the qualifying furnace or boiler. Combination furnace/boiler and water heater units will only be eligible for the qualifying furnace or boiler rebate. Submit AHRI Certificate with application. Get started with our qualified equipment list to see if your new product is eligible for this rebate. Once you know your product is eligible, submit an application below.

$200 off a Natural Gas Boiler ≥ 92% AFUE

If you install an air-source heat pump in conjunction with a furnace or boiler, you will receive a rebate for the qualifying furnace or boiler.  Combination furnace/boiler and water heater units will only be eligible for the qualifying furnace or boiler rebate. Submit AHRI Certificate with application. Get started with our qualified equipment list to see if your new product is eligible for this rebate. Once you know your product is eligible, submit an application below.

HVAC Tune-Ups $25 for Air Conditioner and $50 for Air-Source Heat Pump only

  • HVAC tune-ups must be performed by a licensed HVAC contractor and cannot be self-performed
  • NIPSCO residential electric service required for AC tune-up and Heat Pump Tune-up
  • HVAC tune-up checklists are required for all tune-ups

Do I qualify? 

Rebates are available for NIPSCO residential natural gas and electric customers who are replacing existing equipment: 

 

Current rebates are available for equipment purchased and installed between January 1, 2022 and November 30, 2022. Rebate offers are subject to change – please check this web page for updates. Funds are limited and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

The rebate application and invoice(s) must be postmarked within 60 days of installation. Applications for installations completed after October 31, 2022, must be postmarked no later than November 30, 2022.

 

Equipment must be installed in a property owned by the applicant, or the applicant must have received permission from the property owner to install the equipment. 

Limit of two (2) of any one measure per customer, per year, excluding HVAC tune-ups and Wi-Fi thermostats.  HVAC Tune-ups are limited to one tune-up per equipment type, per installation address, every three (3) years. Wi-Fi thermostats are limited to two (2) rebates per installation address every three (3) years.

 

For new construction, builders are limited to 20 applications per building company for HVAC equipment installed in new construction homes per program year.  Builders submitting a home through the New Construction Program are not eligible for an Energy Efficiency Rebate for the same home. Homes that are submitted for and receive a rebate in the New Construction Program are not eligible for rebates through the Energy Efficiency Rebate Program for a period of three (3) years after the HERS Rating date. 

Items purchased on the NIPSCO Online Marketplace are not eligible for an Energy Efficiency Rebate. 

$50 off an ENERGY STAR® Electric Clothes Dryer

Customer must have an active NIPSCO residential electric account.  Get started with our qualified equipment list to see if your new product is eligible for this rebate. For information on ENERGY STAR® certified products, visit EnergyStar.gov. Once you know your product is eligible, submit an application below. ENERGY STAR® gas dryers do not qualify for this rebate.

$200 off an Air Conditioner ≥ 15-15.9 SEER

$250 off an Air Conditioner ≥ 16-16.9 SEER

$300 off an Air Conditioner ≥ 17 SEER

$100 off a Pool Pump ( Variable Speed Motor)
