IN-Charge at Home
The IN-Charge at Home Program helps make it cost effective and convenient to install an in-home charging station for your electric vehicle (EV). By encouraging our customers to invest in EVs, we hope to help improve local air quality and help reduce reliance on foreign oil.
About the Program
If you own or are considering purchasing an EV, you may be eligible to receive a credit of up to $1,650 for the installation of a residential electric vehicle Level 2 charger, and free charging between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. daily.
NIPSCO is working with South Shore Clean Cities to offer this program across northern Indiana.
For every unit of electricity used by IN-Charge at Home charging stations during the pilot program, NIPSCO will buy an equivalent amount of renewable energy certificates (RECs). RECs are the environmental attributes associated with electricity that is generated from renewable sources, such as wind power.
IN-Charge at Home is available on a first-come, first served basis until funds are exhausted. This program is being offered as part of a Supplemental Environmental Project under the NIPSCO New Source Review NOV settlement.
