Energy Efficiency Filings

The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) approved NIPSCO's proposed 2016-2018 Energy Efficiency Plan on December 30, 2015 (Cause No. 44634).  View the Final Decision.

NIPSCO is filing a new Energy Efficiency Plan (“EE Plan”) that would run from 2019-2021, which extends beyond NIPSCO’s existing programs. If approved, NIPSCO’s EE Plan will go into effect January 1, 2019 and will allow NIPSCO to continue offering energy efficiency programs to all its customers through 2021. After completing a request for proposal process, NIPSCO selected Lockheed Martin to implement the newly proposed energy efficiency programs, pending approval of the EE Plan by the IURC.

How does this benefit NIPSCO customers?
By participating in NIPSCO's various energy efficiency programs, customers reduce their consumption of energy, which reduces their bills. In addition, these programs provide customers immediate and long-term benefits by helping contribute to a lower-cost approach to NIPSCO’s energy resources by slowing, or eliminating, the need for future energy generation or distribution resources.
