Today, Northern Indiana Public Service Company LLC (NIPSCO) released its 2024 corporate citizenship report detailing a successful year of employee giving and volunteerism across northern Indiana. The report, available at NIPSCO.com/givesback, highlights how NIPSCO, together with the NiSource Charitable Foundation, donated over $2.4 million to local non-profits and community organizations in 2024. In addition, approximately 550 NIPSCO employees volunteered nearly 4,500 service hours to 97 local organizations over the course of the year.

Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) LCC announced today that natural gas residential customers can expect an increase in their winter heating bills this season compared to last year. Based on current market projections and assuming normal winter weather, bills for natural gas residential customers are estimated to be 15 percent higher in contrast to cost at this same period in 2023, and 17 percent lower compared to the recent peak experienced in 2022.

Aug. 11 is almost here, and NIPSCO hopes that the 8/11 date on the calendar will serve as a natural reminder for everyone to contact 811 prior to any digging project to have underground utility lines marked. Every few minutes an underground utility line is damaged because someone decided to dig without first contacting 811.  

Northern Indiana Public Service Company LLC (NIPSCO) received a decision from the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) to adjust its gas rates, effective August 2024. Beginning in August, the newly approved rates will be phased in over two steps to spread out the changes to customers, with the remaining changes applied in 2025.

In observance of National Safe Digging Month in April, NIPSCO today shared results from a recent national survey of 1,000 U.S. homeowners revealing that more than half (51 percent) plan to complete an outdoor do-it-yourself project that involves digging in the next year. However, over half (56 percent) of those planning projects do not intend to notify 811 ahead of time, putting themselves and their communities at risk.
