Partnering to support families impacted by the coronavirus pandemic

Through the NiSource Charitable Foundation, we've pledged $400,000 to the Merrillville, Lafayette and Fort Wayne chapters of the American Red Cross to support families impacted by COVID-19.

Community support and involvement is at the foundation of our more than 100-year history. We contribute to a number of local philanthropic programs supporting education, human services and environmental enhancement projects. Our employees also donate their time to numerous organizations aimed at supporting the customers and communities we proudly serve.

We support organizations in five key areas:

  • Safety: Emergency Assistance & Disaster Preparedness, First Aid, Safety Education & Energy Safety
  • Economic & Workforce Development: Retention And Attraction Of Job Opportunities; Energy Infrastructure; Community Vitality
  • Environmental Stewardship: Protection and Restoration of Natural Resources, Energy Conservation and Environmental
  • STEM and Energy Education: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Energy Education
  • Basic Needs & Hardship Assistance: Food, Shelter, Heating Assistance and Social Service
