On May 9, 2024, the EPA released a final rule implementing supplemental effluent limitations guidelines (ELG) for the Steam Electric Power Generating Point Source Category. The rule revises ELGs for flue gas desulfurization (FGD) wastewater, bottom ash (BA) transport water, combustion residual leachate (CRL) and legacy wastewater. This webpage and the posted documents have been developed to comply with the ELG rule.
