Northern Indiana Public Service Company

NIPSCO, a division of NiSource Inc., is the largest natural gas distribution company and second largest electric distribution company in Indiana. Northern Indiana's service territory spans most of the northern third of the state, a major industrial region that includes approximately 2.2 million people in such communities as Fort Wayne, Gary, Hammond, Kokomo, and South Bend. NIPSCO serves over 712,000 natural gas customers and 457,000 electric customers through a network of four coal-fired stations, two hydroelectric plants, four gas-fired combustion turbine units, and an underground gas storage field. Headquartered in Merrillville, Indiana, NIPSCO is one of ten energy distribution companies of NiSource Inc. (NYSE: NI).
